Hi! I’m Julia, or more commonly called Jules. I’m the one that’s taken all the photos that you can see on this website and most across our social media feed, but photographing families being themselves is really my gig and what I love to do. Having 3 kids of our own, I understand how fleeting moments can be and how precious it is to capture memories through imagery so my aim is to create and document those special moments for you in a natural, relaxed and fun environment. Whilst I do capture a couple of family shots with everyone looking at me, that’s not my focus of any session – I want you to be you and just pretend I’m a fly on the wall for the majority of the session. Give them cuddles, pop them on your shoulders, let them run wild and don’t worry if they fall over and cry, let them get dirty or wet…it’s all part of the fun of being on holiday in the beautiful great outdoors! Absolutely no props are needed, in fact I’ll likely ask you politely to leave them back in the car, and I certainly won’t be posing you (but of course direction will be given when required!).
Exclusively for in-house guests only, staying for a minimum of 3 nights, I offer special sessions in our next door forest which is accessible from our property, with the option of a few additional documentary style photos around our property with our friendly animals. Please note due to it also being our private home and our animals are unknown to others, we do not allow external photographers to carry out these sessions. My alternative sessions are available for all which is a full, relaxed 1 hour experiential session in one of the picturesque local spots nearby such as the beach or the magical fairy forest. Those staying with us for 3 nights minimum, receive access to an exclusive rate for these memorable sessions.
In addition, my other passion is landscape photography. Anything you see on your walls in your cottages is taken by myself locally, and to view a larger range of local landscapes, I have a gallery inside our Roo House, on-property. If you wish to purchase a print, please give me at least 24 hours notice to allow me to custom print and have it packaged in a tube ready for travel. You don’t have to be an in-house guest to buy my prints so please spread the word to family and friends too! I’m happy to ship anything within Australia or internationally.

A final important note! I can only do a small handful of sessions per week due to other commitments, and certainly no more than one in a day. These take place in the afternoon only, usually an hour before sunset depending on your session booked, and for any sessions outside of the summer months, I must have commitment for another afternoon during your stay as a back-up in case of unpredictable rain.
